TALES BY MOONLIGHT (EPISODE 2)
I didn't wake up early on monday morning because I had been awake most of the night thinking, so as at 10am I was still asleep. I woke up at 10:17 to see four missed calls on my phone, they were all from Eddie. Was he actually expecting that we would go drinking this early on a monday morning? No, not at all. Eddie was wiser than that. I called him back to find out what the issue was, but he wasn't picking. I didn't sense any troubles so a
went about my normal activities. SLIMSHADY and ABIGAL had just woken up but MALLAM DAGOGO was still asleep, why wouldn't he be? When he spent the previous night scrambling names of football teams on a paper all in an effort win money. I was hungry and wasn't ready to eat junk so I pleaded with Abigal to help us fix breakfast and she agreed, and in less than 30 minutes we were eating bread and egg sauce with a cup of tea and that was when Dagogo woke up, Thank God we had his breakfast covered in the kitchen, we all knew he had a voracious appetite.
I planned on taking Eddie to cofi lounge today, cos I reasoned from Abigal's story of how her friends left with guys they met at the lounge, it wouldn't be difficult for us to hook up with ladies at the lounge, come to think of it, if we had gone to cofi lounge on that sunday, maybe we would have been the guys Abigal's friends left with, and Eddie won't have gotten in a fight with a bar tender. At 12noon prompt I took my car to the car wash and while I was there, I called Eddie again, and this time he pick-up his phone and told me the most shocking story of my life. The bar tender from the previous day had trailed us from the moment we left the hotel, and as early as 5am today he had arrived Eddie's friends house at udoka estate with some of his guys and attacked Eddie, My guess was that he was a cultist like Eddie, so he had gathered some of the members of his fraternity. I knew Eddie had a gun but didn't know he brought it with him to Awka so I was surprised when he told me he shot one of the boys on the arm and the others fled, probably they weren't expecting such and didn't come along with their own guns, (Thank God they didn't). So the reason Eddie was calling me early in the morning was to tell me he was leaving awka to calabar that morning. What Eddie told me over the phone sounded like a fairytale to me. No doubt I was directly involved in this and those guys might come after me too. Am not a cultist and I have no gun, I became scared, not of the boys but of their guns, I may be hard hearted but I have no "odeshi" in other words I BLEED.... I was still contemplating on what to do when I got a phone call from Abigal. She told me that some police men and some men from unizik school security otherwise known as ANTI-CULT had visited my house and has arrested Slimshady and Mallam Dagogo. I was confused, what do I do? Where do I start? I couldn't possibly leave them there, I had to do something and quickly too. I called Eddie and told him that the police was now involved in the case and I needed to leave Awka ASAP, he just laughed and to told me to be careful, why he was laughing I didn't know, despite the fact that I am a comedian, no joke can actually make me laugh in this condition. I needed to think fast but my brain was obliging me, I couldn't even think of what to think. I picked up my phone again called a friend of mine in the ANTI-CULT unit and explained everything to him. I made him promise me that he would do his best to free slimshady and mallam dagogo, he made the promise but was fast to remind me that it would cost money. Thank God I had my wallet and my ATM card, I got his account details and I quickly left my car that the car wash, headed to the bank and transferred 30k to his account. Then I called Abigal and asked her to take care of my house till my friends return. Surely I couldn't stay in awka, its either the bar tender and his boys come after me, or the police and ANTI-CULT come after me (which I will actually prefer cos I could always pay for my bail.) I just had to leave this town at least till all these issues are settled. The only place I could think of is Enugu, and that would mean staying in my family house, what if the police trace me to my home? No! Not Enugu. Now I was on my way out of the bank I was deeply in thought that I almost got hit by a car. I decided to quit thinking and start acting. I got back to car wash, picked up my car and headed toward enugu express way, funny thing was I didn't know where I was going exactly but I knew I just needed to keep going, I had driven for about 20minutes when I finally taught of a place to go, it was UNN nsukka, at least I had a cousin there and he stays off campus, so I'll just act like I came to pay him a surprised visit.

Hmmm good job
